Listed below are responses to questions we frequently are asked by Experienced Agents:
There are many different pay plan options at RE/MAX Masters, and you may choose the one that best suits your family's budget. The truth is it is the best value available for a full-time real estate professional.
We have a philosophy of "teaching you how to fish, rather than giving you a fish" at RE/MAX Masters. In other words, we are very successful at teaching our agents how to generate their own leads. However, we've found that our agents are never at a loss for resources on new leads. With the addition of "LeadStreet" to RE/MAX in early 2006, most of our agents receive multiple leads every month from the web site, in addition to our other sources.
Yes, on a volunteer basis. Typically, you can take as much as you desire because most of our agents are too busy taking their own property calls to schedule time for the office's generated leads. In the past, we've generated many property calls and walk-ins simply from our presence in the community alone but our internet presence as well as multiple sources of advertising create quality walk-ins and phone calls as well.
No, I do not actively sell real estate.
Yes, there are several ways to receive relocation business at RE/MAX Masters. Many of our agents have worked out individual relationships with relocation companies through the years and therefore receive leads from those providers directly.
Also, RE/MAX International and RE/MAX of Texas occasionally send referrals to our office. However, the number one source of relocation business is direct referrals from 120,000+ other RE/MAX affiliates all over the world. Those leads are typically directed at our agents through their presence on the RE/MAX Web Roster, our intranet site, and do not come through the office management.
Each agent or their personal assistant enters their own listings. We have found the information to be more accurate when entered by the person that obtained the listing rather than by our staff.
YES! Since RE/MAX Masters opened in 2003, we've donated over $35,000 to Children's Miracle Network, which supports LOCAL children's hospitals, specifically Children's Medical Center in Dallas, and Cook Children's in Ft. Worth. Additionally, this will be the third year our office has participated in the Tarrant County Komen Race for the Cure as a team. In 2007, our team is boasting 38 "racers" and are #8 out of all 300+ teams in fundraising! We also participate in local charities such as GRACE and the Carroll ISD Culinary Celebration. Most of our agents also participate in local organizations as well.
RE/MAX is very protective of their trademark, as it is one of the most recognizable trademarks in the world. For the past several years, it has been recognized as one of the Top 10 trademarks in the world, alongside brands such as McDonald's, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Blockbuster, and more. We continually receive calls to our management saying, "we don't care who we list with, as long as it's a RE/MAX agent." When we have results such as these, we don't feel it's necessary to change the formula by diluting the logo and marks in yard signs. We highly encourage agents to brand themselves, but not on the signs as they are one of the most effective marketing tools we have.
RE/MAX of Texas has used its buying power to purchase a much-reduced, regularly-timed, color ad in the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram as well as the Dallas Morning News. If you are interested in advertising in the paper, you may purchase an individual ad for your listings for as little as $30 per ad. It includes a full-color photo of the ad, a 25-word description, and direct contact information to you and/or your web site.
No, as we've found that our agents that focus on selling real estate rather than recruiting other agents are much more productive and focused on their clients.
Yes! On topics such as team-building, hiring assistants, improving technology, quarterly MCE classes, marketing, creative listing presentations, taking production "to the next level", and advanced designation courses (such as the ABR, CRS, CRB, CLHMS, SRES and more). Training is available to the RE/MAX agent through Regional Trainers, National Trainers brought in by our Regional office, Top-Producing agents in our office, the RE/MAX Satellite Network, and "Agent Training on Demand"—our intranet training sight available to you 24 hours per day.
We have sales meetings every other month. While they are not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you attend each one (only 6 per year). Many legal issues as well as industry trends and marketing ideas are covered in these highly-professional meetings that typically include rich peer interaction.
Yes, bi-monthly at sales meetings, bi-annually at Regional Meetings, and annually at our office's Awards Brunch.
